Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for her role as Detective Diane Russell. Also, she has appeared in series like All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney, the only child of a United Auto Workers senior executive and domestic worker was raised with her four brothers and sisters. When she was a little girl, Delaney hoped to be a court-reporter. However, in high school the time came when she began modeling for commercials and after moving New York. Her first role as an actor was as a teenage innocent on All My Children, a soap opera from 1981. Her career as an actor has been awash with numerous television films and dramas. As with her professional career however, her private life has not been happy or successful. In the past, this gifted actress was struggling to overcome the effects of alcohol and two marriages fail. She lost custody of her son in the year 2005.
