Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN in July 2021, as the station's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her role as Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she's responsible covering everything from NASA and its recently created Space Force up until commercial space-related companies and the growth and advent of tourism to space. Kristin was born into the sector of space, as the granddaughter and daughter of NASA astronauts. In the past five years, she has reported on space policy during the Biden and Trump administrations in FOX News. In that time she covered the presidential 2020 campaign, the impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the pandemic coronavirus, and two other administrations' initiatives. Kristin travelled extensively, including both the president and vice-president. She was even on a secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump.
